It is very very frustrating to see that there is absolutely no

It would be quite easy to say either there will be no updates, or to say
which points are being worked on for next update.

Alan, I think that's the best you can do. The program for
signing/uploading logs does compare the BAND against the FREQUENCY if
both fields are present in the ADIF file, and reports errors if they
don't match, as you saw. In your case, you'll have to assume BAND
field is correct.

you must set the data rate in the menu 32, 33, 34 and 35 all address the CAT
function in the 5000. Be sure these are set to match the DX4WIN settings in

I recommend using BV7 QSL print manager. It is VERY flexible and has large
choice of label configurations. Just export DX4WIN log in ADIF and import into
BV7.

I've noticed since I've updated to Windows 8.1 that sometimes, not all the
time, when I click on the X to shut down DX4WIN it does not shut down. All
the windows turn a pale grey and it just sits there.
In order to shut down DX4WIN in this state I have to do an END TASK in the

without any problems. Now I have Windows 8.1 and I have tried to load the
program from the disc and get the message port driver not found. In the FAQ
section of the help files it says to refer to the Appendix files

worry, DX4WIN will also be coming. I still have a bit of work to do

I am using dx4win since december 1997 (release 1.07 if i remember well).
I think that this software is just perfect.
My wish list is limited to an improvement of CAT.
I know that is a very hard job but in my opinion is the only part that can be
discussed.
