The group names are stored in the log file. You mentioned you
have a backup log file. The following steps will combine your
old groupnames with your rent log:
1. Open old log (with the good group names)
2. Delete all QSOs
3 Import the recent log
4 Save under a different name

I have lost all my group names and some of the group numbers. Group
1-13 are missing and 14-77 are still there if I do a F8 search, but
there is no group information associated with the number anymore.
