Re: [Dx4win] How to search
Pepe, Jim and the others who responded: Thanks for the easy way to search for QSOs without a grid. I used the ! character in the grid field of DX4WIN to search for QSOs on 6m without a grid. It turned out that of my 8,000+ Qs on 6m, the search revealed 200 without a grid. I looked them all up and found about 20 new grids that I did not know that I had worked. I also found 4 confirmed grids via QSL card that had not been marked with a grid. That put my VUCC totals for 6m at 940 worked and 895 confirmed. 45 cards are now in the mail to confirm the others that did not confirm via Lotw. Sadly, I also found a few SKs for grids worked in years past. For anyone tracking the VUCC award, it is a good idea to search your log for any Qs without grids periodically. 73, Dave, N4QS -Original Message- From: PY2YP Sent: Friday, May 12, 2023 2:42 PM To: David Perry, N4QS Subject: Re: [Dx4win] How to search Use ! 73 DX de PY2YP - Cesar On 5/12/2023 4:32 PM, David Perry, N4QS wrote: > I would like to do a search for all 6 meter QSOs without a grid. Hi Dima, You can use a Pivot Table in Microsoft Excel to get a list of unique callsigns. I could probably write an ADIF program to make a list of unique callsigns, if there is enough interest. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

F8 search Select 6m as the Band Put "!*" (without the quotes) in the Grid field. * means find anything that matches ! means the opposite, so !* means "find nothing" (that matches). -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] How to search
Hi Dave and group! I have another question re. search and count. To prepare an application for some awards I need to submit QSOs with a certain number or original ( unique) calls from some prefix or country. A search filter will provide all calls based on the search critera ( say UA3*) will show all UA3s in my log which I can count later using a built-in count feature. But what’s about uniques like some contest programs can count? An import to Excell with further using it’s functions is not a good solution I think :-) ! Thanks and 73’s ! Use the exclamation mark. WA7AA I would like to do a search for all 6 meter QSOs without a grid. Is there a wildcard character that I can put in the Grid field to show only QSOs with no grid?
