Strictly speaking e-gold is a medium of exchange but not a
currency. The term currency usually means a debt instrument.
According to Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

I don't care about this in the sense I can send, I believe, metal to

metal from Goldfinger :) I think it is fine to restrict bailment of
stuff
All,
Is there a conversion factor of unity for e-gold the currency as related
to the standard of values it stores? Example, 1 e-gold gram = 1 gram Au =
0.1 gram Ag = 2 grams Pt, etc.
The problem with the current denomination of e-gold is that it is given
in everything but e-gold. I know how
Just occurred to me that someone on this list who is working off shore

held in an off shore trust. Reference to the trust could be made in
a will. After the unfortunate passes on the beneficiaries set up egold
accounts in whatever

The problem with the current denomination of e-gold is that it is given

US$, JPY, etc I have, but I don't know how much e-gold I am holding per

I think you are mistaken. E-Gold IS denominated in grams of gold. When

see "10.230001" grams of gold, then this is the unit of measure. This
will
not change.
But it's also denominated in grams of other precious metals. What say you
then about grams of Silver, Platinum, and Palladium? If

In the early days of e-gold if my memory remembers, one could for free
change one's holdings between metals, but now E-Gold has spun that off
to third party market makers who charge a hefty percentage fee to
exchance one metal for another. This I consider the worst change in the
wrong direction
Yes, but it's like apples and oranges. If you have 5 grams of e-gold and 3
grams of e-silver, then you must express the total using BOTH identifiers.
It's not possible to say that the value is 'x' grams of e-'something'
because the price of silver fluctuates with respect to the price of gold.
Banana gold = EXCELLENT service + Amazon = great range
Yeah at times the delivery times suck, but for Aussie buyers of the range of
products there Is no better combination (Nor need there be!! this one is
excellent)
Ive used the services, and could not be happier!!!

e-gold also promises that its currency is backed 100%
at all times.
In lieu of the below I wonder how true this is???
How often do they change their policies and do they
only announce after the fact?
