Re: [Efw-user] Bridge Mode?

2010-09-23 Thread Kevin Murphy
Some odd answers on this one. As stated below - configure red as gateway and enter the IP address of your hardware router as the gateway address in the network config. I think when you mention bridge mode, some people got the wrong idea - forget bridge mode. You can only have one gateway on

Hi, I think you will find that this is broadcast traffic on the green lan. The firewall rule that will be causing this to be dropped will be in the system access rules. I wouldn't worry about it if i were you. Also, setting the allow green to green - forward any only has any effect if you

2011-03-17 Thread Kevin Murphy
I agree that upgrading is probably a good idea but I am not sure this will solve your issue. The whole point of the SIP proxy is to help with SIP firewall transversal. I have used endian on a lot of sites now with asterisk VoIP boxes behind them and it works really well once you have a good

Likewise. Tried IPsec on a couple of occasions without luck but its so much more complicated than OpenVPN and also there are issues with the implementation on endian too. Kevin From: johnat...@crashrepairparts.com To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net Date: Wed, 22 Jun 2011 13:41:16 +0100

Re: [Efw-user] Port forwarding on RED multi-IP

Hi, I am running Endian 2.4.1 under WMware ESXi and you have to enable promiscuous mode and I think forged transmit on the virtual network switch. This enables multiple IP addresses to be associated with one MAC I think. I guess you will have some similar setting in KVM. Kevin Date:

I have always had these problems from when I started using endian firewall and someone in the company got an iPhone about 4 years ago. I did the same and add to bypass list. Also had to add to bypass list for smtp proxy too as it would complain about certificate issues when sending email.

2012-07-25 Thread Kevin Murphy
Hi, I don't know of a way to split orange zones but I imagine this is not possible. Can't you use the blue zone and the orange zone? That way you can have 2 separate networks and you can modify the interzone firewall rules as required. Kevin Sent from my iPad On 25 Jul 2012, at 21:41, Andres

Re: [Efw-user] endian firewall + SIP

I use the combination of asterisk and endian firewall in many customer sites without any issues, so it does work. Forgot the SIP proxy feature in endian, never needed it or used it - in fact if you use the latest version 2.5.1 it has been removed. Just make sure that you port forward the SIP
