Thanks to Tom Hammond I now have the measurements of the RF boards used in

Hi all:
I am assembling K-2 S/N 4397. I have just completed the Control Board. Two
of the resistance checks fail. The resistance between the collectors of
both Q1 and Q2 to ground measure 454 K each. They are supposed to show
resistance 1meg to ground. I have checked resistor network RP1.
Hi
Try reversing the ohmmeter leads or changing ranges and see if the readings
look better. If not I wouldn't worry about it. You are mainly looking for gross
errors like very low readings or shorts. Some DVM ohms ranges will turn on
semiconductors in the circuits and that will give the
Thanks for the tip. That worked. One reads infinite, and the other 1.1meg
when I reverse the leads.
Nothing beats this reflector for nearly instant (and accurate) help and
info.

The new standard version of the KSB2 filter is the same as my 2.2 kHz
design. Elecraft measures the bandwidth to the 6 dB points, so they quote
the bandwidth as 2.3 kHz. If you want to use my 2.5 kHz bandwidth design,
you now only have to change 4 capacitor values.

I am receiving list messages addressed to me and CC'ed to the list. I
think it did this once before a few weeks ago.

Another clue that this is happening (charging capacitive loads, etc.) is
that
the reading will be sliding, drifting while you are watching it. If you see
this,
reverse the leads.

I agree with Lyle's discussion on this. The reason for using 1N5711s is
to get low power accuracy. If you are running high power only, then you
probably could get by with 1N4148s in the directional coupler,
sacrificing low power operation.
If you really want to replace them today, you could

Does anyone know the Mouser part # for K2 Part # E500025T, which is a 1.5 ohm,
