As suggested in the note, I added 2pf NP0 from my junkbox from X3 / X4 junction (where it connects to L33) to ground. This fixed the problem. With this mod: BFO High 4917.00 BFO Low 4912.48 Range 4.52 They all seem fine. Thanks for you help, Raj, N2RD Leigh L. Klotz, Jr.

Normally the TRN x OUT parameter can be adjusted from H to L by rotating the VFO knob or tapping the BAND+/BAND- buttons. When you get to the 'H 0.01' display, rotate the VFO knob counterclockwise and you should see the H turn to an L. If that does not happen, check your firmware levels. 73,

The saga continues. While monitoring TP5 voltage, I am keying the transmitter and attempting to peak the 6 inductors as per the manual But the voltage keeps dropping fairly quickly ...couple of tens of millivolts per second ... enough so that it is almost impossible to peak the inductors.

Terry, Is there a possibility that you have the pins in the housing reversed? The shield should be closest to the side panel. There is just not much to the frequency probe - a piece of coax with a 10 pf capacitor in series with the center conductor, so not really much to go wrong. To test the
