As suggested in the note, I added 2pf NP0 from my junkbox from X3 / X4
junction (where it connects to L33) to ground. This fixed the problem.
With this mod:
BFO High 4917.00
BFO Low 4912.48
Range 4.52
They all seem fine.

Question! Nothwithstanding the fact that the coil around your glass case

Hello!
Short follow up on this. My KPA100 broke down during EU Field Day. Could not

Normally the TRN x OUT parameter can be adjusted from H to L by rotating the
VFO knob or tapping the BAND+/BAND- buttons. When you get to the 'H 0.01'
display, rotate the VFO knob counterclockwise and you should see the H turn
to an L.
If that does not happen, check your firmware levels.
73,
I _believe_ that the problem was a sequencing problem ... the 'Low' power

between the K2 and the XVTR. At least, after connecting the tables, rebooting
the K2, and accessing the menus a few times ... the 'L 0.01 - L
The saga continues.
While monitoring TP5 voltage, I am keying the transmitter and attempting
to peak the 6 inductors as per the manual But the voltage keeps
dropping fairly quickly ...couple of tens of millivolts per second ...
enough so that it is almost impossible to peak the inductors.

Hi everyone.
I have a very simple question regarding the KX1 assembly instructions. Just
before the second visual inspection and Alignment and Test Part II and
just after the installation of L1 and L2, the instructions say...
Your kit includes an extra 22k resistor for use at R32. This

Excellent point.
Yes, the resistor must be installed as shown in the figure.
The 'not present' meant it wasn't included in the PCB outlines.

There is just not much to the frequency probe - a piece of coax with a 10 pf

Jukka,
Components are relatively inexpensive, so I recommend that you order all the
diodes in the KPA100 T/R switch and the FETs too - often the price break on

all. Arbitrary replacement of the T/R switch active components
