You likely fried the MMIC chip. Get another MMIC and install it, the Ngen
will be good as new.
I have done that soeveral times, so don't feel like the 'lone ranger'. Slap
your wrists a couple times and vow not to do that again! G But I keep a

I haven't been on 160m tonight (yet) but I have made lots of QSOs with
both CW SSB running my K2 at 5W or less. The CW QRP calling frequency
is 1810 kHz. I've been able to work most states (I think except Alaska)
and several DX countries from my QTH and the antenna is a Carolina
Windom 160
The difference is very, very slight. I'd not worry about it. Ground one side
and you'll never know the difference!
