because it could cause a 40 meter parasitic oscillation. That problem
was usually noticed when operating with a KAT100.
Do not install RFC10 in the updated KPA100.

I have not seen it mentioned yet, but the best installation of open wire
line will tension the conductors between 2 supports. That means fewer
spacers are required because the tensioned wires do not sway as much in
the wind.
For my part, PVC spacers are easy to construct and inexpensive.
As long as the roofing filters are placed in bandwidth order, can filter slots
be bypassed in anticipation of placing filters in the slots later? For example:
Slot #1 Not used - reserved for FM filter
Slot #2 6Khz
Slot #3 2.7 Khz
Slot #4 Not used - reserved for future filter

I use a Maplin XM20W that I tweaked for higher voltage, Maplin are a UK
company, but the power supply is a generic one and similar units are
probably available in the US. I took the precaution of adding a crowbar
circuit across the output as my K2 is more valuable than the power
supply!
