Peter, AC7SB, was a great help. As it turns out the CW sidetone source was
selected to U6-25. That is where the data has to come from. Moving it back to
U8-4 in the ST L menu did the trick. Now my only mystery is when/how/why did

Do you have the speaker wires interchanged? - check the colors against
the manual. If the wires are swapped, it will ground out the audio
except for the headphones.
Do you have the speaker cable plugged into J5 on the RF Board? There is
a J5 on the Control Board that I have seen
I am seeing an approx. 20% reduction of peak SSB power after pressing ATU
TUNE. This occurs at both 50 and 100 watts into a high-quality dummy load
as indicated on the K3 RF bar display and my external LP-100A wattmeter.

be 99Hz off of your displayed freq. If you were at say 14.200099 in the fine
mode and then switched to coarse display of 142000 you would

it totally overloads the K3. I use an ICE BCB filter inline with the rig
just so it can be used on HF. Some rigs are less affected by this station

I bored out my K2 knob to fit the 1/4 shaft on my K1. I used a drill
press and a 1/4 Dremel bit. I don't remember which one, but it was
not a twist drill bit. The K2 knob is 6mm. 6mm is 0.236 in. so you
need to remove .007 in. of brass from the wall. Since the knob would
