I burned up a 20M one using a IC706 at high duty-cycle with an ice-load on the
wire, but it was repaired. I have about a set and a half of them, and
have used them a number of places. The power limitation is the only
down-side that I have experienced.

The middle layers of foam have serrated 1/2 cubes. I laid everything out to
where I was happy with it and then put toothpicks in the corners of stuff to
mark where to cut. I then used a bread knife to cut out the blocks.

I don't understand where this urge for glueing toroids comes from. To have
the toroids firmly in place, do the following:
- Leave something like 1/2 of wire extending from each end of the inductor
before mounting it.
- Route these wires through the PCB holes, grab them at the other side and

stays off, regardless of previous settings in SSB mode.
I suspect it is because DATA A and AFSK A are special cases of
SSB. You will find that FSK D and PSK D are special cases of
CW as well. The VOX status is maintained
