I.E. Explorer 8 and Google Chrome (except no browser add-on or account
information is needed).

The USB to Serial chipset could be built onto the KIO3. Then the K3 itself
would be the USB/Serial adapter. The manufacturer of the chipset would provide
the drivers. The FTDI chip would be a good choice. The FTDI drivers seem to
work well on OS X and Windows. Not sure about Linux. But, like

I too get this intermittently on my K3 #145. Probably been more frequent of
late and also disables the ATU though oddly it still responds to
checking/adjusting the LC settings from the menu ok - you can hear the
relays clicking but press the ATU button or ANT1/2 and no response...
Who has a good reputation as a repair person for the K2. I have a K2 (new to
me) which had a few options stripped out of it before I bought it
(KSB/AF/K100/External Antenna Tuner). It receives great, but does not
tranmit I dont have the testing equipment nor the desoldering station

I could tune in a PSK31 signal using either MixW or Digipan but it would
go away after just a few letters both on the screen and the water fall.

I have a K3 and for the second time, the protective zener diode has shorted out
for no apparent reason. The first time, I sent it back under warranty, but I
was charged for the repair. It died again today with the voltage set at 12.4
vdc at the power supply, (an Acopian commercial rack mount

works perfekt in my schak.
Driver for this usb adapter is prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge...i buy this at
Claes Ohlsson here in Norway.
My direct rs 232 cabel from K3 to computer worked nice before i put my PA in

Uhhh forgot to tell my computer is an Asus motherboard P5E-VM DO with 2core
intel cpu with XP service pc-3. 2 Gig ram and lot of HDD :-)
