Yes it does Tom.
It's the same height as the K3's bail.

Hello there,I've just put K2 SN 7063 on the air, great rig. I only found

I just added the P3 and am thoroughly enjoying it.
And have a question about the Tap/QSY function.
It seems to have about the same mechanical feel as the tap/hold buttons

but it does not seem to work 100% of the time. I have to tap repeatedly
sometimes to get it to move. Is this
Yes. The K3, P3, and KPA500 line up nicely with their bails tilted.

There are two video standards for monitors, 15 pin VGA and DVI.
I assume Elecraft will use VGA as that is the most widespread.
Anybody with a DVI only monitor will have to get an adapter.
They do make VGA video switches.
Just Google VGA video switch.

Vagner,
That can happen if you did not seat the LCD down close enough to the
board and it contacts the metal of the front panel. The pins of the LCD
normally are flush with the back side of the board.

Hi, Crit:
I was just about to send the P3 FT team the same question. I have
never reported it but by my calculation, about one-in-10 times I tap the QSY

result.
At first I thought it was a somewhat intermittent

I have programmed FN4 and FN8 as Fred does.
I originally did it in an attempt to cut down on any possible long-term wear of
the Tap=QSY button but have gotten used to it and prefer using FN4/8.
Also, as mentioned, it eliminates the problem that some people have caused by
turning the knob

Thanks, Dick.
Glad to hear it. That will look real nice on the operating table.
The KPA500 will share the operating table with the P3 #804 and K3 #806.
K3 #1055 will soon be setting on a pedestal mounted on the hump in the Tundra.

I too, have purchased a case for my XG3. I purchased a diecast
aluminum Bud Box 6x3.25x1.84 inch to provide shielding for
weak-signal testing using attenuators. Mouser 563-CU-476 $11.60. I
also bought a BNC feedthru adapter and have a mini-phone jack to
provide external programing control.
So that it will be easy to remove from the injection molding machine.

Peter,
I forget what the E000 error really means, but those kind of errors come
from the option firmware.
If you have a 'scope with a 10x probe, you can check for oscillation at
the resonator pins (or U1 pins 13 and 14).
Check your cable connections and your soldering for potential problems,
it is only a matter of convenience.
If i don't use AM and i don't have AM filters i can save a pulsation in
the mode key each time i cycle from mode to mode.
It is not important.
I see a FM dissable option in the menu.
I was thinking if no filters is selected for AM in the menu. Why can i
Only FM mode can be disabled entirely. See p29 of the Owner's Manual,

Hi Elecrafters
I have recently bought a second-hand K2 with the KSB2 SSB module, the KPA100
100 watt amplifier the KAT100-1 antenna tuner. Everything appears fine
running either QRP or 90+ watts on all bands except 80 metres. I am using an

Ray,
Before you do anything desperate, try the same thing into a dummy load.
If it does not happen with the dummy load, you can conclude that it is
RF getting into the K2 somehow.
Off-center fed antennas are notorious for creating RF in the shack

There are some uses for AM mode, even if you never listen to a ham or
