Lu, I might tend to agree with you had the P3 control been labeled WIDTH! But it is labeled SPAN. SPAN on a spectrum analyzer or a spectrum monitor (as used in satellite up/down links or on audio consoles) works just as the P3's control works. The P3 is more of a kin to a spectrum monitor but

My external watt meter does not agree with the power output bar graph display on the K3 except in the very middle of the power range. While turning the power control from 0.1 to 1.0 W., the bar graph shows the expected 1 to 10 display. But my watt meter display goes from about 5.8 to 7.5 W.
