Linux, Mac, PC - it all depends on the software developer community. I would expect Linrad to work very well with the KX3, for example. In the end, it is just a baseband I/Q output from the KX3. Any soundcard+software combination that works with a softrock receiver, for example, should work

Dragan, The other buttons do not move. I suspect that the rubber spacer pad between the front panel board and the 2D connector on the upper right corner of the K3 is not in place. You can see the 2D connector if you open the top cover and look - the spacer pad should also be seen on the front

Ray, Locating those screws is actually easy. Look down between the Front Panel and Control Board and you will see two hex standoffs about 3 cm down and about 4 cm from each side panel. The screws thread into those standoffs. The one on the right is easiest - just remove the screw. On the
