Is this measured into a dummy load? Have you run the calibration

Hi Don
Thank you for your reply which was easy to follow.
I should explain that the rig has worked fine on SSB up to now using a Yaesu
microphone supplied by the K2 builder. On opening I found that my K2 does
have the KDSP2 option so I had to remove it too. I then found that the

It sounds like you did everything right. Sorry to hear of your
disappointments.
Do you have a computer soundcard that you know works with a computer
microphone?
If so, plug the Proset K2/3 mic into that soundcard - it should work.

The story continues My elation at finding a fix with the new LPB2 program
was premature. I was suddenly plagued with the evil HRD turns the K3 AGC

trying to find out why I was suddenly having problems. I found that every

All,
By using the Config:2TONE function, one can tune USB or LSB output using a
scope. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a small scope for tuning and observing the output
wave shapes of the K3 TX. It seems to me this could be done with a sensor that

Hi Don
I can confirm the following points -It is an Elecraft ProSet which I bought
direct from Elecraft, all pins on the configuration header have a jumper
straight across, the 5.6K resister is soldered across pins 1 6.
With the microphone not connected, 5.08 volts is present at Pin 1 6, (and
Tom,
The P3 can monitor the K3 IF spectrum right now.
A spectral display is often more meaningful than an envelope display on
an oscilloscope. For instance, it may be hard to determine just when
the waveshape of the envelope begins to flatten, with a spectral
display, it is easy to see when

Ray,
Voltages on those other pins are as expected - a quick perusal of the
front panel schematic will tell you why.
It may be that the computer mic expects the bias voltage on the ring
instead of the tip, some do while others do not. If the computer
soundcard puts bias on the ring, but not

Good Evening,
Nice rainy day. Good day to stay inside. Well, that is not what I
did. I went out for a trip and then a hike and then a little light
exercise with a sledge hammer. There is more than one way to stay
warm. Lots of elk sign but I never see them. Good thing, if I could
