I was working cw with about 95 watts when my K3 shut down. I checked the
power pole connection and it had come slightly loose and was pretty warm,
so I let it cool and then re inserted it to the radio, and this seems to
work OK. I've seen some comments about how to make this a more positive

changing it from 1:1,80 to 1:1,60 for example. It happens that any value I
digit as soon as I press Apply and Save checking again it comes back to
default 1,80. Trying a per band set instead of All Band nothing changes.

Yes, but there's something funnyif you go to download KAT500 Serial
Command Reference the document refers to 01.16 FW dated 16 November 2012,
probably there's a new FW release incoming and perhaps fixes this bug.

I see that in the reference manual, too, but I don't think 1.16 is available
anywhere. I have the 1.14 version and that is what I see on the FTP site. I
also cannot use the utility to change the autotune threshold. My KAT500 came
loaded with an earlier version - the 1.14 I downloaded and
01.16 is in field test. The problem with setting the thresholds
appears to be a bug in the utility, not the firmware, but FWIW, I am
running 01.16 and I can reproduce the problem. The developer is aware,

that packed it wrapped it in plastic and set it on the bottom of a box
with no padding around the bottom or sides so that the VFO knob was
