The other day I was operating my K-2 at about 10 watts on 20 meters. After
operating without troubles for a couple of years suddenly the meter display
stopped showing any information, meaning there was no indication of power and
no indication of even strong received signals. The rig itself

Vern,
The display has no relationship to any band. My guess is that there is
a bad solder connection on the front panel - unfortunately, it is
intermittent and that makes it difficult to fine.
If it happens again, you might try re-flowing the solder on the Front
Panel board with a hot iron
Thinking of swapping out my PR6 for the PR6-10. Would be interested in
any comments from those who have already made the change to a 6-10 or
10. There have been a few PR6 for sale notices on the list.
Quiet location here.

I think it's time for a K3 firmware update...

My friend wants to use MMTTY with his K3/0 remoting to my K3. He wants to use
AFSK. He is elderly and can't solder anymore so can he just buy the cables that
will go from his computer sound card to the K3/0 line in and out?

I have had 2 problems with my P3 Panadapter, both were the subject of comment
on the Reflector.
The first was spurii radiated from the P3 DC cord and picked by my nearby
antenna on 144 MHz.
This problem was largely solved by fitting a commercial RFI filter in the DC
cord and ensuring that all
Hi Steve,
The K3/0 accepts a standard stereo 1/8 (3.5mm) plug for both the line in
and the line out. The computer is probably the same for it's line out but
could be a mono plug for it's line in (or mic in). He'll have to investigate
his computer. He can likely purchase what he needs at Radio
Perhaps it was for the SVGA adapter, but I remember instructions to secure the
cable closely along side the cabinet to prevent a problem of
interference/radiation.

I was copying RTTY on my P3 SVGA and I found that it was dropping a lot
of characters. I finally figured out how to decode directly on the K3
and it wasn't dropping characters at all.
Is there something I have set up incorrectly?
Thanks.
