How big is the check you are willing to send? I have no inside track on
pricing, but as an engineer, and estimating the size of the market, and what

firmware (whether beta or production), then it is also included in the
higher numbered version - unless it is specifically retracted.

I am having trouble with the K-3. When I xmit for a period of time the

Assuming Windows, what does device manager say about the port? No other
program is using the port, right? Have you tried a reboot of the puter? Is the
DB9 firmly attached to the K3? When you plugged the USB cable into the 'puter
did Windows recognize it?

That's correct.
Some of our utilities operate at only speed supported. (XG3, K144XV, and
W2).
When the radio, amp, ATU or panadapter offers several choices, we find the
RS-232 speed as you have indicated.

Along that same line as Don suggests you look at; do you have a power
supply with a variable voltage current? I have an Astron with both
on the front panel and I was having troubles till I realized I had
bumped the controls to the PS and that was my problem.

I guess I made a mistake when I closed the KX3 cover and I damaged the Flex
Cable (E980219).
The KX3 is working fine in the most of the time, however, intermittently I

probably due to the damaged cable.
Wait until you have the replacement cable before concluding that other

updates on the K3, KPA500, and KAT500 tuner. I had problems with the K3
after the update. There was some kind of problem with the power output.
