Ed, Did you ever install any Prolific USB devices in your system? Prolific Device Drivers are buggy and can often interfere with the FTDI drivers. Prolific Device Drivers can be uninstalled. You can use the free USBDeview facility to look for this:

Bob This is a macro command so does not appear in the config or menu.  Take a look at page 27 of the Programmer Ref.  You can use the command tester in the Utility to try it out. Just for reference here is the Programmer Manual reference TM (Transmit Meter Mode; GET/SET; K3/K3S only) RSP

Carl I have not experienced any of this type problem.  I have my CONFIG:PWR SET to PER BAND  so that the K3s switches power levels depending on if the KPA1500 is OP/STNBY. Since you are saying this depends on your output power then would first look for RF feedback issues.  Are you using the
