I've had the same effect by setting the K3's Alarm to ON then turning off the p/s. When the p/s is turned on again (and maybe the K3 Power button pressed; I forget the exact sequence now) the LCD backlight comes on. So, you might want to check the Alarm setting. 73, Drew AF2Z On 09/16/21
