OK, Steve
When is the last time you tried to send in a unit for service. I am #5 and
have been since January.
Saying you support the K3 and actually doing it are two different things.

Wayne,
I think this service record is outstanding. I think it is unfair to ask
for more. These are unusual times and Elecraft is doing just fine.
CESSB is fantastic. What

The following link provides some very interesting data regarding many
new and current signals heard on or near the ham bands.

Hi Josep,
You might try running the Transmitter Gain calibration procedure which
is in the Elecraft K3 Utility Program. You must have a good dummy load
to do this, but otherwise it is all automatic. You just follow the
prompts from the program.

Interesting reading. Also the links are equally interesting.

What a great idea! An "SK Chain" to pass along "orphaned" gear. I'm all for
it.
One requirement - everyone must be a minimum of 80 y/o to receive gear. That
way no one hogs it for too long.
I'll be 80 next March, and I'd be ready to sign up in the KPA/KAT500 group ...

I think you may be right. Take a listen on 40 metres. OHR is on almost every
evening in the UK and moves up and down the band. Not sure where you are but
you may be able to pick it up and compare. It’s quite obvious when you hear it
and see it on a waterfall/scope.

Hi Jim,
We are in the same boat although I am futher back. I am #26. My K3 just came
back from Elecraft and worked for about a month when it failed again (different
problem). I also have a 7300 but it does not compare to my K3/P3, of course it
only cost about 1/4 of the K3.
Good luck,

Thanks all for you input and recommendations, helped me submit an "Intruder
report" to DARC.
I do not think the source is local (power supply, solar systems, Etc.) It's
very strong 20+ over S9 and 20 Khz wide, comes and goes at odd times. Best
guess is an HF radar.

Thanks Greg,
I’ll look into it. As long as I can query the radio and it returns the current
shift/width then converting to low and high cut is not an issue.
This is to be able to program a button in my Stream Deck that will dynamically
change to show current RX BW. For those unfamiliar, look
Just use the IF shift/bandwidth commands with a little math. I think that's
intended.

I have used Elecraft service twice for my KPA1500. Once for the finals and
associated
circuitry and recently for the power supply all covered under warrenty.
Probably about 4
weeks turnaround at the factory which included about a week for 'burn-in' to
make sure the

One of these days I will have the time to open up the box with the K4D to at
least see what serial number. Just been too busy.I have a pair of K3's, serial

I want to sell one of the K3's. Even though they both work
I’m in same boat Jim. Currently using a borrowed 7300 but I have to give it
back this coming week so at that point I’m just off the air. I’m number 18 on
the list since February with no change
My K3 had just come back from Elecraft after a repair and failed almost
immediately. I guess that
Hi All,
I am writing a Node Red interface to the K4D and looking through the
programming reference manual. Is there a command to retrieve or set actual
current low or high cut values of the receive filter? This would be useful
as a way to have more than three filters defined. I know there is a

It is not so long ago that the K3S and slightly different K3 were in
