There was a post from Marv (callsign unknown) that stated an impressive
three day turnaround. He did not mention if there was a queue to ship it in
or what the nature of the repair was.

No, of course it won't. It will only prevent 270 V being produced if 60 V is
present. The amplifier is heavy and will be expensive to ship. Why not
diagnose the problem and just fix
They rcvd my amp on 6/28, supposed to then be 3 weeks for repair - I
called today, apparently they had their service dept. cut in 1/2 for
last couple of weeks *2/2=1) - will be another 2 weeks, totaling 5
weeks. Glad I have a spare! ;-)

Folks - I’ve exchanged email with Rob at Elecraft support. He tells me that a
failed R16 on the power supply board should have no effect on the 60V supply,
so I’m opting to NOT rip the amp apart in search of R16. Waiting on Rob to send
me an RSA and the amp will be off to Watsonville for some

Looking for a used one in good condition. If you have one and not using, maybe
you’re interested in selling.

Someone mentioned last week that they sent in their K3 and got a 1 week
turnaround.
Elecraft has answered all my questions and called me back with some additional
questions I had with a one day turn-around on the emails and calls.
(Thanks Doug and Wayne)

Hi,
I sent in a P3 a few weeks ago, (arrived on 07/22), and am waiting for
the results. The last item I sent in an item for repair took only a few
weeks, so I am expecting to hear from Elecraft very soon. I'll post
when I do. Repair for me has been good.

There was a thread regarding the lengthy process of getting an Elecraft
radio repaired and I was concerned about this issue. Has this situation
improved? From my perspective, one of the reasons a person would purchase
an Elecraft transceiver would be both reliability and service. Thanks for
