I am using the most current firmware versions in the K3, KAT500, and
KPA500.
I am also using the Elecraft auxilliary cables.
Not sure what else to check as to why the KAT500 won't update the tuner
preselects when QSY'ing?

Is there any setting to keep the noise blanker always on?
If I set the NB on per a band, then any time I switch bands I always have
to turn it back on.

I was just going through the menu settings and found that under the CW
WEIGHT menu, when I tap 1 or 2, I just get N/A.
I wanted to set my KX3 to be able to key CW in SSB mode.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Maybe if the KPA500 would momentarily show the band selected and then go
back to the previously selected meter display (PWR output in my case), then
it would behave similarly like when you change bands from the K3? The meter
display would be sticky?

to 100 watts, in OPERATE, the K3's ATU would go into BYPASS and the power
level would reset to 15-40 watts, whatever is needed to get 500 watts
output.

Wow. I've been using the K3 Utility Terminal to upgrade firmware and set
macros for a while now and didn't even know about the CW decode and keyboard
CW. Just another thing to play with now!

I've had the opposite luck. My K2 takes out local electrical noise and
ignition noise where my TS-570S and IC-746 noise blankers didn't do a thing.
I've been very happy with the noise blanker in my K2 and think that's been the
best option for the buck!
i have the AFIL and have been very happy with it! that coupled with the
amazing noise blanker has really cleaned up my receive audio.
