I have been trying different things with my K3 #2914 - The problem appears
when rig is cold - this evening it was 10 deg C in my shop. I don't really see
it in CW

for very short periods of time namely milliseconds.

Sounds like a typical K3, both of mine will react very similar especially if
I change bands. I will typically hit the tune button
and adjust my power if necessary. Now perhaps if I went through
the transmitter calibration it would go away! I still need to
do all the mods on my first K3
David,
As a correction, all conduits are to have a green grounding
conductor included per NEC. This was changed many years back in
thee NEC because it was found that conduit may not always
have a good ground all the way back to panel due to loose screws
corrosion etc.

I ran FD with my K3 and an old Dell C610 laptop this weekend - I had some
issues with it keying the cw port by itself when the laptop was off. I found
that rebooting computer and radio worked the best. I also found that
it was much more manageable when the USB mouse was not installed. I was

the wider filter would give better fidelity, but DSP only goes

N1MM works with WinKey. I use a K2/WinKey/N1MM
configuration in
contests and I am very happy with it.
I have no financial interest in WinKey. I am merely a happy

I ordered the 500 hz and 250hz filters The 500
will be great for the casual stuff. When it
gets tough like the 160 mtr contest with signals
30 and 40 db over S9 all over that 250 will be

are ok but I assume that when my K3 arrives I

Question for the group!
When you buy the subreceiver does it come with the

all the filters in the main receiver except for
