Hi all,
What EXACTLY is the difference between AFSK A, and DATA A.
Here is why I ask:
In AFSK A Mode:
While using MixW, and looking at the MixW screen, and in USB on the K3,
as I tune using the knob, the MixW screen shows the signal stuck to a
frequency on the top calibration marks on MixW.
. Receive dual tone filter (dual peak)
filter is not available. Frequency (VFO) display reflects *carrier*.

I used to have a set of macros for MixW and my Pro 3, and want to
recreate them. I can send hex out from MixW, so I want to see if I can
do some control via MixW Macros.

Hi,
I noticed the same thing with my order of a few weeks ago... Everyone I
dealt with seemed to actually have a clue! Very refreshing.

Phil,
Are you a member of the Yahoo group in my sig below? If not, join, then
look in the files section. There is a fellow there who has totally
rewritten all the help files and keeps them current.
If you do get them, and like them, please thank him... He is a fellow

I Probably should have suggested this on the first email, post to the

Would be nice if ALL Elecraft programs were also available in Linux...

Just for the record... It would have been a show stopper for me if the
K3 software was only Windows... Now that I have had a chance to play
with the rig a bit more, I still might have bought it, but I really do
thank Elecraft for supporting Debian and the other forms of Linux.

Hi Slava,
I have also noticed this, is the robotic sound you are referring to a
low frequency sort of wha wha sound which modulates along with the
normal voice signal.
I have heard this before as well, and had a friend describe it as
typical Icom, which leaves me in the dark about what it is,
Thank you Joe, I have been looking for an explanation of most of what
you covered here for several months. I'll pass it on to my buddy that
mentioned the Icom sound!

Hi,
All the ESSB talk got me wondering about how accurate the P3 might be
for measuring bandwidth. Could someone review my method for this
outlined below and comment please:
1. Use ATT if needed to avoid very strong signals
2. Set bandwidth to 4 KHz. See note below.
3. Adjust Span on P3 5
