power level, but it assumes when doing this that the load is a perfect 50
ohms. If it isn't, the calibration could be incorrect. If you tune at 6W (or

I think the setup side of things could do with a wizard or something. Of
course I realize Fldigi was originally written for Linux whose users
*expect* things to be difficult! :)

exactly the
same phenomenon using my KK7UQ IMD meter. However it is blatantly obvious
that the K3 is putting out too much power when this occurs, because its own
power meter shows this.

This would make a very nice, small, portable power supply for a QRP K2 or
any of the other QRP Elecraft radios, that you could use from a hotel room
or whatever with an indoor antenna.

Just as some folks obsess over receiver performance specs, others like to
feel that their frequency readout is spot on. As with many things in this
hobby, whether or not it is really necessary to know your frequency to that
level of accuracy is irrelevant. :)

overload I only need the line out
level set to about 4. The problem is worse for those who use laptops because
most new laptops appear not to have a line input at all, only a microphone
input which of course is a lot more sensitive and requires even less signal
from the K3.
