Fred,
It is a beta version so you will need to download from the P3 beta ftp site
ftp://ftp.elecraft.com/P3/firmware/beta/
Then browse in the P3 utility to where you downloaded the zip file
(p3m0105.zip). I have a directory to keep the firmware so I can locate them
easily.

Actually it is more than likely there is no Pin #1 issue here!
The scope is just giving you an accurate representative of what it is
actually picking up from the antenna feeding a very high input impedance

I would not select a radio on the input impedance of the microphone input!
It is not critical at all - should be at least 10 times the microphone
impedance.
Pro-Audio from as far back as the antique Western Electric unbalanced

About mid-2010, when I went from an XP machine to a W7-64bit, I just plugged
in my Prolific USB to RS232 adaptor. W7 then loaded its drivers and off it
went in a matter of seconds.
My SignaLink (USB sound card) worked just as easily.
Both fully interfaced my K3 with the computer with no hassles.

In broadcast pro-audio (probably other services) - microphones aren't
