Everything is in perfect working order and is cosmetically excellent.
I will also throw in a TigerLink USB sound card interface with correct
cabling for K3.

work it. Again all done with 100Watts. You refer to the Elecraft tuner for
the KPA-500, I don't know there is one, yet.
Good Luck

I forgot to add that MFJ makes a switchable inductor for 43' verticals based
on the design by AD5X? I think that is the designer. I communicated with
him and he verified it was his design that was used. I asked for a copy of
the then unplublished technical manual for that device and MFJ sent it
Power supply appears to be the problem. It is an Icom PS-125 that was a
gimmee when I got my previous rig, an IC-746PRO. The problem kept
repeating even after I reseated the power pole connectors in the K3 rear
apron. I then substituted a switching supply I have for my Kenwood TS-480HX

can't say if this is also occuring on SSB.

IMHO, the Yaesu FT-817 is dead, long live the KX3!

the line, minus the neutral later if you need it. Remember the amplifier
output is 600 Watts, the input is well over 1KW. What do the lights in your
bathroom do when you or the xyl turn on a hair dryer? Mine dim. Same thing
will happen voltage wise when you key the amp.

Rich;
I copied your reply verbatim and pasted it into a text file. The file now
resides in my K3 folder along with the Operating Manual and other important
K3 info. I put it there because I know this information will be invaluable
some late night.
Thanks!

I guess there was no good answer. I will conjecture though that if you use
the Line Out connection to the sound card in your computer, you could sample
the DVR playback with whatever audio recording utility you may have, save it
as a wav file (or whatever) and email that?
Thanks for the advice, but it is present, headphones or speaker.

The subject is terse, so here is what is happening. I notice a very narrow
but steady vertical line on my waterfall which does not move when I QSY.
This occurs only in CW mode and I can see it when the SPAN is narrow, ±5 kHz
or less. It appears to vary between bands but in the range of -600 to
power antenna tuner as for a good
used amplifier.
Thanks for your response.

After 45 years on the air, I'm finally getting an itch to bump my power over
100 watts; 500 - 600 watts seems like a reasonable amount of 75 meter power

MST. Easy assembly and no rework required. Looks really nice; now to add
the KPA-500 and I will finally have my S line.

does sound right. Hope I didn't get too many orderees overly excited.

The K3 has a clock?
I'd like to suggest an upgrade, albeit hardware / software related. I want
my K3 to have a little bird pop out of the front every hour. It should say
Seek You, Seek You, Seek You instead of a lame Cuckoo. Of course it also
needs to be synchronized to WWV
