to the change in the display but there were a couple of "issues" that
caused problems. Works nicely. Also added a 3d printed case.

It has been a true pleasure using the K2 up there. Simple to use, quite
receiver, nice memories. Just a pleasure to use casually while resting from

CW weight refers to the balance between the single element length (dit)
and the space. But, what is the elecraft definition of a "weight" of 1.00
verses 1.25? As weight is changed does the dit or the space change? Does
the ratio between dit and dah remain a constant 3:1?

I am looking to upgrade a friend's older K2, sn 280. What mods are
recommended as necessary and what would be in the nice to have category.
This is a plain vanilla K2, CW only, QRP, no 160, 60 meters, etc.

I would like a longer delay time on the scan function when a station is

Just wanted to claim the first use of the KX-3 on satellite, both FO29 and
AO7. Worked fine, excellent audio reports. Did need both a receive preamp
and a little help on transmit as well.

I would to use an existing 2 meter xvtr with the KX3. No problem except my
primary use would be for satellite operation. That is in the 145.8 to 146.0
mhz. That would correspond to 29.8 to 30.0 mhz, which is out of band for
the KX3. So, is there a way to allow transmit just above the ten meter
Any thoughts as to when the 2 meter option might come out for the KX3?

Ok, just got my Side KX plates and cover. Installed them and looks great.
Now, what to do with the old plates? Keep them? (I will only lose them)
Does Elecraft want them? (drop them off at Pacificon).

believe I am not sacrificing performance wrt to the K3.
I do a lot of traveling and the KX3 is the ticket. But, if I were to
have just a rig for the house, never move it, I think I would still go
for the KX3.

Well, I did it. After watching the KX3 phenomenon, losing the weight I
promised myself and getting paid on some consulting work, I pulled the
trigger and ordered a KX3. Let the people rejoice!
