I guess its time for me to move on. The K3 was such a disapointing let down
that I sold my K2. I'm sorry but prebuilt modules does not a kit make.

Oh I don't know, I aced the code and the written first time, or at least
thats what the FCC guy told me. I always felt like the Advanced was a waste
for me it didn't give any extra CW space. I can still do 20wpm, but I hate
that fast now, I'd rather put around at 14 or 15. hi

When I first saw they came out with a K3 I was very happy but when I saw the

vertical and G5RV. Rig has been completely disconnected for a week.

How do you disable the Auto Tuner in the K2?? I think I have somehow
managed to blow the diodes in it again. 2nd time in 3 months, and this time
the antenna is only connected when I'm on the radio. First time I left the
antenna connected most of the time.

Personally if Elecraft were to offer a new K3 that was 100 watts output I
would not buy it. 5 watts is all I need.

would be nice to have tuner in rig also, then T-1 could be used for
portable, mobile what ever else.
Sidenote had the FT-817 mobile today using a 20m hamstick. I could get it to
load on 17m and 30m but couldn't make any contacts. Walmart parking lot fun.

I started noticing a problem tonite with my K2 drifting slowly down in freq.
I mostly run PSK31 with it and tonite I was chasing the stations I worked
down in freq. I was accused of running Drake equiment? hi
