Hi Jim, I assembled my K3/100 and had the light leak also. After disassembling the front panel I felt the light blockers were too narrow. I called Elecraft and they sent a new set to me. The new ones were still kind of narrow so I passed on installing them and drove into town to buy a roll

Hello K3 forum, My K3/100 #4645 arrived last Thursday (9/2) evening. Family commitments, one defective part and one missing part delayed the assembly a little bit. Finished it last night and had it on the air last night. I'm enjoying the K3 and look forward to using it as my primary rig.

Hi Gary, Just a little more feedback. For the fun of it I tried manual tuning through the bands @ 50 watts and found that the tuning power on 40 meters through 10 meters did not fluctuate using the XMIT/Tune button. All other bands did. Thanks, 73, Paul AD5SX

Hi Gary, Once again I forgot something. The serial number for the K3 is 4442. I believe it was ordered in June/July 2010 so it is under warranty. Once I get mine and assemble it, I'll be way ahead on the learning curve because of my time on Ken's rig. He was very generous to lend this rig
