I Tom,
I use the antenna suggested by Bruce Prior (N7RR) on QRP-L, which is
67' - 9 with a counterpoise of 33'.
Please have a look at my KX1-Canso Causeway web page for further details.

the battery; the setup works well.
However, reading today's threads about leaking batteries renews my
concerns about batteries in general.
I'd certainly be disappointed if that ever happened. Maybe if you
stick with the battery that Elecraft sells, it won't happen.
Good luck deciding...

Hi Mike,
I'd use any old wire you can find at a good price. Home Depot must
have something, and I wouldn't bother with the double binding post at
all. I prefer alligator clips. You can see what I use on my KX1 web
page: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/ppike/csway.html
Good luck,

I use the 1120. http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/ppike/kx1.html
I place two pieces of the pulled out foam on top of the rig to keep it
from moving vertically - foam on bottom too.

This is interesting Bob. I've read similar about the TH-F6A, which
has kept me from buying it, but I hadn't read that about the VX-6R
before.
Too bad the fuse in the F6A is an smt fuse on the board.
Thank you,

opportunity to try the antenna suggested by Bruce. I used his 68'

I then tried Ron's suggestion. I had a 13' piece of wire so I
Hi Larry,
I use a bnc with about an inch and a half of coax (separated) to two

Gotta be easier on the circuit board.
