Bob – I get most of my cables and splitters from www.cablewholesale.com.
Here’s a link to a DB9 splitter:

And here’s a link to a DB15HD splitter:

“Wouldn't a single 15-pin to 15-pin DE-15 cable in addition to the first

Yes, this is correct. You need a DB15HD M/F cable (SVGA cable) between the
K3 and KAT500, and the normal DB15HD M/F Elecraft-type cable between the
KAT500 and KPA500. The

Bill – I do have the grill/gasket, and the new speaker. But I could only
really get rid of the buzz by adding the snipped grommet between the speaker

The MFJ supply will power the KX3 just fine at 10 watts. The KX3 draws

Any chance that K3 DIGOUT1 (pin 11) is enabled low on 17 meters? This is an

“The KPA500 manual I downloaded says pin 8 (TX INH) and pin 3 (GND) from the
FT-950 must be connected together then connected to pin 5 on the KPA500 AUX

“Has anyone successfully interfaced a K3 and THP HL-1.5KFX amp so the K3 tells
the amp what band to be on? If so, I would appreciate specifics onhow you did

Peter – Just connect the K3 0123 band data outputs to the THP ABCD band data
inputs. On the THP, tell it is a Yaesu input. The
