My kit-built KPA-500 is about 8 months old. Lately I’ve been running a lot of FT8 and FT4 at around 150 to 200 watts. I have really noticed a lot of loud creaking from the KPA-500 after a few QSOs on digital modes. The manual does indicate that some noise is normal but this does seem excessive,

I just completed the build on my new KX3 last night and have it up and running but ran into one problem with the build. My kit had the errata sheet with the change in screw length to 2-56 X 1/4 in long for the battery holders. I could not get the screws started on both ends of either battery

I have been using a Behringer Xenyx 808 Mixer with my K3 in order to share headphone and powered speakers with other devices. When I connect the K3 audio output to any of the balanced inputs or CD input jacks on the mixer I get a very significant hum. I can overcome it with higher audio
