I can't seem to make the SCAN function work on 6 meters. All other
bands work fine.
Operator error? Or?

It's a shame they don't make note of this anywhere.

Buy a Phidget 16/16 board ($100), write a little Visual Basic 6 code,
input the K3's band data to the Phidget Board, and bingo, out comes
whatever switching logic you need on any or all of the 16
outputs!(slightly oversimplified of course...)

Gary @ Elecraft Support and others -
1st thanks to all replies of assistance I received from you and
reflectorites, but as it turned out after several hours of
microscope work this weekend I found a solder bridge between two of
the hair-like leads of the SMT U2, pins 7(grounded) and pin 8 (INB)
Yep - similar problem. The radio would not perform TxG for 60m band
using the default setting of 5.150mhz. So after studying up on what
the 60m channels/band limits are here in the US, I set it to 5.335mhz
or so.It set up just fine after that. I did not check the bandwidth
for the error msg
When you have gone to the config menu to do the wattmeter calibration
(WTMR) in the low power 5watt range, do all of you get a display that
can vary from 30 up to 150, with LP then off to the right? Do you
never get a 0-12 LP indication? And then when you increase to 50w you
get the same 30 to 150
Just completed the K3 #594.
After going thru the reflector archives and reading the many HooYah's
about AFX and Stereo reception I must have one hiccup:
I have tried different headphones - one plugged via 1/4 jack on front
and then the other via the 1/8 plug on the back (both stereo plugs).
