I have been using a KX3 during FD, connected to some large (tower/yagi)
antennas. Am operating CW exclusively. Although I've had the KX3 for a while,
I've only used it casually until today's FD. All day I've been noticing (on 20
and 40M, with fairly strong signals - some ove S9 - across both
.)
The FC setting doesn't seem to interact with this.
Thanks again any further advice!
Dave

This may already have been asked and/or answered (so please forgive the
redundant request), but my question is this - is the KXPA100 is expected to be
usable (externally) with a K3-10? I have a K3-10 and would rather use a future
KXPA100 with it for the occasions where higher power is needed
Wow - much clearer/faster answers than I expected!
I would not need an internal tuner to the K3, so I'm good-to-go and anxiously
awaiting order opportunity for KX3 and KXPA100!

Seeking advice while trying to get KXV3A/K144XV added to existing K3-10. May be

Partially fixed - I had set XV1 ADR to TRN1 instead of INT TRN1.
Once I changed that, I found many problems corrected - I was able to set the
two offset frequencies, I hear the relay switching between band segments, and I
am now able to receive on 2M.
However, I repeated the calibration using
If a K144XV is purchased for a basic (10W) K3, then later a KPA3 is added,
does the K144XV module need to be replaced or can it be re-used?

there are two ways to order K144XV, but an e-mail to elecraft asking how I'd

I'm curious what makes one unit better than another other than the obvious

Hello Jim,
The two solutions I've looked at so far are unappealing (going all the way
to the 100W level, or the hfpack-based project which includes a DC/DC
converter to run it's transistors at 28V, which has it's own efficiency
impact.)
I have been looking for a more modest power increase,
