Hi Guys,
As there seem to be a number of people on the list who collect
K2 numbers and locations I would like to say that K23354 now has a new set
of PA transistors fitted and survived the smoke test. Is there really such a
thing as a K2 trainspotter?
FWIW I got the new PA
Hi Guys,
Due to my clumsiness in removing my blown finals I have managed
to damage the PCB of my K2. I managed to remove half of the land for the
Base of Q7 on the top of the PCB, and slightly lifted the land for the
emitter of Q8 on the underside of the board. I still have
Greetings from England everyone,
Lead free solder is becoming difficult to get in Europe because of
the environmental legislation forced upon us by the somewhat undemocratic

Hello everyone,
During the alignment of the Top Band option of my K2 I did a stupid thing
and connected the dummy load to the wrong antenna connector. I used the tune
button and tried to align the filters to set the TX power using the power level

Surface Mount is not that difficult even for old geezers

introduction to the topic and I made that and it worked pretty well. I am

Hi Gentlefolk,
When I was learning the code, back then to get a UK class A licence one

Craig,
If you read the manual for the K2 and find the section which discusses
building the display board you will find that you can mount some of the
display parts for the KSB2 when you build the Display board...I started
off using an ANTEX PCB holder to build the Control board until I

Eric,
Whilst the exchange rate in the UK is very favourable I think the main
reason
is that word gets around about the excellence of Elecraft products and the
support both from the company and this group. I have had my K2 kit for almost
a year...we made a group purchase at a far lower
