[Elecraft] Use a keyboard with KX3 to send PSK and CW?

Is it possible to use a keyboard in a standalone configuration to send PSK and CW with a KX3? I am considering getting a KX3 and would really like to use it portable without bringing a PC or needing any other external devices. In looking at the manual (page 28) it seems as if you can only use
