Congratulations, Dale! I wish I could tell you that I know how it feels to
win something like that, but I don't. :-)But I do know the fun and the
joy of operating QRP, and seeing you win just validates my faith in low
power operations.

Enter the contests and you might just be surprised. Sometimes a
category (QRP, single-band, etc.) won't have a lot of competition (or
even any!) and I've picked up a lot of unexpected wallpaper that
way. My very first contest (1953 WWDX, CQ didn't sponsor it that
year) resulted in a
