Hi gang, Well, I got a mix of answers that ranged from cancel the net to keep the net and try to work through the QRM. The most novel answers were switch to 17 meters this week. I might try that, but I don't have a decent 17 meter antenna right now. The 17 meter stations I do work are usually by loading my coax fed tri-band (10/15/20) quad with its very high SWR on 17 meters. The K3 ATU will load it, but it isn't very efficient. To make matters worse, my current linear amp won't work on 17 meters.
Therefore, the SSB net is cancelled for tomorrow (October 25). The net should be back on next week. Have a great weekend and CQWW (if you participate). 73, Phil, NS7P -----Original Message----- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net]on Behalf Of Phil and Christina Sent: Friday, October 23, 2009 11:59 AM To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Elecraft] Elecraft SSB Net Announcement - Contest interference Hi gang, This Sunday at our net time the CQWW SSB contest will be hot and heavy. Does it make sense to have our net anyway and fight the QRM. Or should we cancel our net this week? I'd like your feedback on this. Thanks. 73, Phil, NS7P ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
