If you want your panadapter to sample and display a properly I would think most folks would ASSUME some signal fidelity was in order. Most don't care about freq response.i guess they dont expect much when they use hrd or dm780 or nap3 etc.

My single disappointment in the KX3 is that it has a forest of cables instead of a single USB port. I understand that the available USB chips create a lot of RF noise, but dang, we've had USB for fifteen years, and it just chafes me that we're fussing with the best A/D converter for a signal
