About ten years ago, Nextel was selling Motorola iDEN two-way technology
as a cellular telephone substitute and tried to trademark Push To
Talk. Nextel was eventually absorbed by Sprint. I see now PTT is a term
commonly used in the cellular industry, but I don't think anyone is
trying to claim
That's an ongoing problem for companies everywhere, but I'm sure you know
that it's nothing to get worried about in casual communications. In Germany
is the home of a company whose name was often used in place of radio by
the people there for many years: Telefunken. Elsewhere, including in the

Just not a World-Wide Walkie-Talkie (WWWT)- that is also registered, but
not by Motorola :-)
