I’ve been experiencing an issue with my K3, and I’m wondering how to troubleshoot it. Here’s the symptom. Often, when I’m trying to work a weak DX station, I’ll switch the sub receiver off and on, so I can better hear the DX station, then to try and hunt for the station he’s working.

For future reference for people searching as to why there KRX3 is not hearing any signals be sure the filters are installed in the slots they are supposed to be. You will have noise and the sub controls will work but you are not hearing any signals. I know what I am going to write sounds

Well, taking apart a perfectly working radio is bound to be barrier to doing this. Had my concerns too. Put it in today. Seems to work AOK. One step in the manual that saved my butt was check for connectors that may have pulled out during the subrx assembly install. Indeed one did.
