Hi. I have not yet calibrated my S meter but I noticed that when I tune in a really strong 40m CW morse signal that the S meter is only showing 1 intermittant bar, same as for weak signals.
I even have this one intermittent bar when there are no signals present. I'm wondering if there's a problem with the AGC, or is it normal? I'm using about 10m or wire as the antenna. Thanks, Martin.
