Good news regarding the interference between the 73CNC replacement tuning knob and the SideKX cover. Per Mike NT8O at 73CNC a new lower cost version of their finger dimple spinner tuning knob is in the works that will clear the SideKX. He is forecasting a release date of Dayton 2014. Ken Ford

I have it too and I like it. Only caution - when you remove the cover carefully remove it straight up and not lift up on one side. The is a risk of putting a lot of lateral force on the side buttons. Pulling straight up ensures, the cover does not apply any side force on the buttons while

I just installed the SideKX yesterday and agree they are very useful and a great addition to the KX3 - what a nice design! Only minor nit is that the silk screened letters on the left panel are not of the same quality that the original Elecraft panel. Nothing awful, but something that Scott
