Hello All de Joe, AA4NN, in SC near Charlotte, NC. I will be one of the foxes Aug 16th along with Dale, WC7S, calling CQ FOX between 14050 and 14070 from 0100 to 0230 UTC. My listening offset will be 1khz, UP or DN, from my transmit frequency as I will indicate (UP or DN.) During the last 30 minutes I will be working zero-beat.
My rig will be Elecraft K2 at 5 watts. One antenna will be the 4-element SteppIR at 102 feet which I will have in bi-directional mode firing NE and SW. Later in the hunt I will point it Westward. My second antenna is a folded dipole at 30 feet which I will randomly alternate with the SteppIR.
