Looking at the wiring diagram for the USB keyer it seems you may have the audio lines reversed. The Microham K3 cable labled Line OUT should connect to the K3 Line Out on the rear panel and the Line IN on the cable should go to the K3 Line In. It looks like the PTT line is connected to the K3

By the way, External interfaces are not used at all with the K3 in PSK-D mode. This is only for PSK operation when sending with paddles connected to the K3's internal keyer. There is no provision for external keying of PSK-D as there is for FSK-D. So with your soundcard program you have
