Hi guys,
for the same reason I think that rolling off at least the first TXEQ
band could be a good idea also for AFSK communication, but the TXEQ is
flat in data mode, and not modifiable.
Could this be an useful addition to a new firmware release?

I have built almost 500 K2's to date. No not a typo, I am just a little crazy
and love to build them. My prices are reasonable and you get a new radio with
the options you want. Please respond off of the reflector.

I'm selling a brand new Pelican 1170 case which can be used with the KX3. I

Hello,
I have the following problem by working with a K3 and KPA500.
If I use the internal DVR of K3 the KPA500 will not switched by the
PTT. With the K3-DVR I just have the K3-Power output. When I am using
the footswitch or the Keyer or the Mic the KPA500 will be in use.

It would be even easier if one could use a 10MHz IF for LF. For this the K3

Hi Gary,
The front panels of the KX3 and K3 are quite different, so there can't
really be a 1-to-1 correspondence of KX3 controls mapping to K3
There is another caveat to keep in mind when using the K3 in
transverter mode. Sensitivity will be subject to the ham band

outside the BPF passband unless a general coverage module (KBPF3)

Stan,
I am willing to wager that you have set your sidetone pitch to 700 Hz.
That is the KX3 Local Oscillator. If you are operating the KX3 near
other receivers, turn the RX ISO menu item on to substantially reduce
this leak-through signal.
That is common with all direct to baseband
That's the local oscillator. Turn on the isolation amp in the KX3 to reduce any
leakage.

Stan,
Just set MENU: RX ISO to ON. This turns on the isolation amp, which
should knock down VFO leakage out of the mixer by 70-90 dB.
We don't turn the isolation amp on by default because it adds about 15
mA to receive current drain. (This same stage is also used for the 10-
and 30-dB
Thanks so much guys!
I knew it would be a simple problem to fix... or not if it makes the receive
better.
So... anyone want to trade a K3 for an Orion II?

Tnx for your note. I've removed the ARB704 interface and all is well. I've
