Drive power for the Expert 1K-FA amplifier is Typically 20W for full output. Typically. I would think it ambitious to expect full output with just 20 watts drive. Just my opinion. de Joe, aa4nn . - Original Message - From: Dale Parfitt [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net

I've been seeing about 14-15 watts but have not checked on 6m yet. Will do so this evening and report back. So far every contact has reported a very nice clean signal. Excellent CW note and audio quality using the 2.8 kHz filter for SSB TX. The TX EQ really makes a difference as well.

Tom, All the PSK QSOs so far have been at 3-4 watts. A nice feature for PSK is having the focus displayed when you adjust the SHIFT control. So if on your software you have a signal at 1000 Hz, you adjust the shift control to 1.0 and narrow down the filter and you get nothing but that signal

Don: Following is not intended for you, but rather for someone without much experience running an oscilloscope. I would add one cautionary note. A 10X scope probe usually is rated at 250 or 300 volts, so you might think it's safe to use bridged across a dummy load with a 100 watt transmitter,
